Meet Jodi Findlay
by Judi Weakland
Jodi might be our newest staff member, but she has been an
active member of Calvary since November of 2010. Jodi, who
was named for her beloved Grandfather, grew up on a farm
in “Derby Town” Louisville, Kentucky with 5 younger sisters. Jodi
spent her summers on a tractor mowing the sod farm and
taking care of a few animals.
Jodi is one of those rare people
that are not only creative, but
also fantastic with calculations
and numbers. When she was
younger, she wanted to be an
artist, but the practical side of her
also wanted to learn accounting.
Jodi said, “I find accounting
a little bit like putting a puzzle
together. “I just love it.” Jodi
graduated from College and
earned her bachelor’s degree in
accounting.
Chuck, a childhood family friend that grew up with Jodi and
someone that she knew all of her life, served in the Gulf war.
Jodi and her family would send him care packages from
home. One of Chuck’s battle buddies was a good looking
Special Operations Captain named Alex. Alex saw Jodi’s
picture and told Chuck he wanted to write to her. Alex and
Jodi were pen pals for six months during Alex’s deployment.
She met him at Fort Campbell for the first time face to face.
