Should we swim with the tide? NO. God
instructs us how we should be.
1Th 2:10 - “You are witnesses, and God also,
how holy and righteous and blameless was our
conduct toward you believers.”
Dearly beloved, in this sinful world, we, the
remnant need to conduct ourselves with holiness,
purity and integrity irrespective of the conduct of
others. Our speech should be pure. Tongue is like a
fire with great destructive powers.
Job 31:30 “I have not let my mouth sin.”
The mouth that blesses the Father cannot curse
people who are created in His likeness.
Some people say, “Don't mind my words. I
speak for fun. I bear no malice toward you in my
heart.” But Job's thoughts and words were in
harmony. Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth
overflows. Let us not deceive ourselves by speaking
words that hurt others.
Timothy 2:8 that men should pray, lifting holy
hands without anger and quarreling, not hands
stained with a bribe. Who shall ascend the hill of the
Lord? He who has clean hands and a pure heart (Ps
24:3,4). God does not want your offering if it is black
money. It is better to obey than to sacrifice. Be
satisfied with your rightful money.
3.The Remnant Stands For The Word of
God
2 Pet 2:1,2 - “But false prophets also arose
among the people, just as there will be false teachers
among you, who will secretly bring in destructive
heresies, even denying the Master who bought them,
bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And
many will follow their sensuality, and because of
them the way of truth will be blasphemed.”
Many are turning to false doctrines but we, the
remnant should hold fast to the true Gospel.
Preachers today are preaching a diluted version of the
Gospel. Their so called preaching overflows with
stories but there is hardly a single Bible verse. Many
people seem to love those preachers. Do not be a part
of that “many.” Do not be deceived when people take
hold of one verse and expound a doctrine. Diligently
seek what the Bible says as a whole.
The early Churches too faced this problem. The
Word of God came to the church in Thyatira “But I
have this against you, that you tolerate that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is
teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual
immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols” (Rev
2:20).
The remnant despises gains of oppression.
They know this world is not their home. They do not
run after worldly gain.
A brother once asked me, “I stay back after
office hours everyday to work for extra hours so that
extra money is stashed in my hand. Is it wrong?” But
the Word of God says, “Shake your hands lest they
hold a bribe” (Isa 33:15). Apostle Paul tells in 1
They were following a liberal teaching. But
even among them there was a remnant that followed
the right doctrine.
Rev 2:24 - “But to the rest of you in Thyatira,
who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned
what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I
do not lay on you any other burden.”
Do not follow all the TV Preachers blindly.
