DANCE ROADS OPEN
Opening in Montreal, the Dance Roads Open Process is a coming together of five
choreographers from five countries, for a five-week tour. Hailing from Wales, France, the
Netherlands, Italy and Canada, the choreographers will be sharing their work in each
country as part of the international partnership programme Dance Roads. Cardiff’s very
own Jo Fung will be representing the UK as the choreographers dance into Chapter Arts
Centre at the end of the month.
Carol Blade of Coreo Cymru, one of the host organisations, said, “The touring programme
of five short works promises a diverse evening of quality contemporary dance, ideal for the
first-time dance audience and regular attendees.”
The tour aims to develop and expand the provisions currently available to the small-scale
contemporary dance sector in Europe and will be accompanied by numerous workshops
with the participating artists, mentors and co-organisers. JH
