He is well-versed in direct sales of commercial fleets and its intricacies throughout the United States. During his tenure, he has developed the Northwest/Midwest territory by creating awareness of CCW’s turnkey solutions. Paul is well-recognized for exceptional sales achievements. He has a proven record of facilitating long-term business relationships with both customers and industry leaders. His strong winning attitude and personality are assets that complement and enhance CCW’s ability to meet and exceed the needs of our customers. “I am proud to receive this appointment and to have the opportunity to participate and contribute to Oregon Transit’s future growth,” Paul said. The Green Mountain Transit (GMT) Board of Commissioners announced that it has hired Jon Moore as GMT’s new general manager. “Jon has performed admirably as interim general manager,” said Chair Bonnie Waninger. “He demonstrated flexibility, strategically managed the organization before and during the pandemic response, and fostered innovative thinking.” “I am excited for the opportunity to work with the dedicated employees of GMT as general manager,” Moore said. “They continually demonstrate their commitment to GMT’s goal of providing safe, efficient and customer-friendly public transit service for those we serve.” Moore began his career with GMT in 2008 as a transit planner. He served in many capacities including planning manager, director of operations, director of maintenance and planning, and director of transportation. he was named interim general manager by the Board in July 2019. Moore was hired after a nationwide search. “GMT is an organization that fosters workforce development and advancement,” Waninger added. “We are very pleased to be able to promote from within for this position. The Board is confident in Jon’s ability to navigate today’s changing landscape and to lead GMT into the future.” Transdev recently announced the promotion of long-time transit professional Julie Peel to vice president of safety and security. Peel joined Transdev in August 2015, as Safety and Training Director for the paratransit contract with WMATA in greater Washington, D.C. From there, she was promoted in early 2018 to Regional Safety Director, Northeast region. “Julie has distinguished herself with strong credentials and many accomplishments in multiple domains of safety performance, including stronger root cause analysis, accident mitigation plans, and developing standardized protocols and processes,” said Francois Regembal, chief safety and quality officer. “She is passionate about ensuring the quality of ongoing safety coaching and training, partnering with many of our locations to mobilize our teams and deepen the commitment and personal accountability for safety.” She has been instrumental in creating and communicating policies and best practices to help Transdev locations take effective action to protect employees and passengers from COVID-19. Peel joined the transit industry in 2012 and worked for a competitor in the greater Washington, D.C. area for three years prior to joining Transdev. She has a degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University, and also holds many industry certifications. Just a few include becoming a CTAA Certified Safety and Security Officer, obtaining a General Industry Certification from OSHA, plus a certification as a Classroom/BTW Instructor from the U.S. DOT Transit Safety Institute, and certification as a Master Instructor at Transdev.
