“Recent conversations with colleagues in
the World Bank’s Agriculture group highlighted for us, the need to be especially careful with how we in the nutrition world describe the results of the Masset et al. review.
It’s a case of not demonstrating impact as
opposed to demonstrating no impact and to
our agricultural colleagues -- rightly so -- this
is an important distinction. The review also
includes a few individual very well-designed
studies that did show positive impact. While
the authors decided that there were not
enough of those studies to be conclusive, they
should not be ignored, either.”
