CONCEPT MODELLING,
TRANSLATING IDEAS.
The translation process began by
sketching over the conceptual models,
experimenting with the different shapes
that were made. highlighting each divide
allowed me to see new forms of zoning
the space inside.
Figure 39. Figure 40. Figure 41.
This conceptual translation explores
how different zones can connect
through abstract pathways/bridges. The
light brown zones can be the most
important needs within the space, such
as the kitchen and the cafe. the green
pathways represent how they can
connect.

The final conceptual
translation shows how the
coloured paper depicts how
the zones cross over within,
allowing me to overlay the
model and begin to draw
experimental layouts. The
fragmented affect creates
an abstract design, and will
allow users to utilise the

space differently.
