St. Anne Catholic Elementary School
Building a Caring Catholic Community Culture St. Anne is an elementary school of approximately 563 students and is home to students of many diverse social and ethnic backgrounds, serving the downtown core area of Brampton. It services students from numerous language groups with the three largest non-English groups speaking Spanish, Portuguese and Tagalog( Philippino). For 40 years, St. Anne School has been a dynamic, Christ-centered learning environment committed to academic excellence, and the service of the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of students in our care.
Anti-Bullying Pledge On November 23, 2012 we celebrated“ PINK DAY,” and a school-wide pledge to end bullying signed by staff and students was presented at the Virtues Assembly. The Youth Faith Ambassadors reminded the audience that wearing pink has become a National symbol for anti-bullying, and encouraged everyone to wear pink and take a stand against have undertaken many social justice initiatives. They have collected pop tabs, milk bags, and support our ongoing
school food drives. They also work with student Parliament to support school liturgies throughout the school year.
Shoeboxes for Dr. Simone, Founder of Canadian Food for Children For thirteen years, the students of St. Anne School have taken on the challenge of collecting shoeboxes filled with personal care items and toys to be delivered to children in need overseas. In previous years, Dr. Simone has delivered our shoeboxes to children in orphanages in El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru, Malawi, Philippines, Angola, Tanzania and Nicaragua.
