If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Add Reading to your Shopping List To motivate students to become more self-directed when making their independent reading choices, primary students at St. Bonaventure are able to
‘ shop’ for books. Now teachers are able to present students with a whole‘ cart’ of brand new reading materials, organized by levels. The cart is wheeled from class to class on a rotating basis, providing students with increased time for browsing and selecting texts that interest them. These carts are stocked with close to 1500 independent texts of various genres. The students always look forward to their next shopping experience!
St. Bonaventure Gives Back to those Less Fortunate The Grade 8 students at St. Bonaventure School became global citizens this Advent season, when they researched and selected a group of 7 charities to support over the holidays. Small groups of students planned fundraisers and school wide events like a Slam Dunk competition, selling hand-made‘ Bracelets for Life’, hosting a teacher breakfast, and holding various school dances in hopes of raising money for their charity of choice. The Grade 8 students collaborated so effectively that they raised over $ 2663 in under three weeks! Students also received
matched donations from various organizations and as a result our school’ s total donation this Christmas season was $ 6344. We are very thankful and proud of our school community for their generous contributions.
Let the Clubs Begin St. Bonaventure continues to offer a variety of clubs to support all student needs. Mme. Cadamuro has applied her“ Kids Can Do Club” grant to support an Inventions Club, Sewing Club and Cooking Club at our school. Mrs. Tuzi used her“ Inclusive Game Club” grant to provide students with the opportunity to play games while interacting with others in a positive manner. All clubs
at the school provide students with opportunities to feel included and valued. Activities such as designing, building, cooking, sewing and game playing help support the development of essential social and life skills.
