He is keen to point out that in his discussions with Coldwell before joining his impressive stable, Coldwell TV was never mentioned, but as Eddie Hearn and Matchroom have the Sky deal sewn up, getting exposure to the masses was never going to be easy and Coldwell TV has provided an excellent platform for this, culminating in his recent appearance on ‘Prizefighter’ on Sky Sports.

Although he went out in the 2nd round, the appearance has only enhanced his reputation. An impressive win and stoppage of Callum Cooper in the first round saw him face fancied Glen Foot in the semi-final. A close fight saw Foot just edge the win, but Gaynor says the experience definitely made him a better fighter. ‘Glen had a lot more amateur fights than I had, and Prizefighter seems to suit the amateur style more - it’s a quick start, point scoring event. I’ve got no complaints, but would love to fight him over 10 rounds. I’m really confident that over that longer period I’d get the win, and I’d love the chance to do that and show I can beat him’.
