Volunteers at the Injune Visitor
Centre have been run off their
feet this season with up to 100
visitors a day pouring through
the doors (the biggest day saw
132 visitors!). Each year
approximately 15,000 travellers
drop into the centre with
numbers peaking in the July
school holidays (this July saw
2160 visitors). Most are on the
Great Inland Way and
looking for information
on Carnarvon Gorge or
Roma and Lightning
Ridge if travelling
south. Many stay in
Injune for at least one
night. If each of the
15,000 visitors spent
$20 in town that
equates to a whopping
$300,000. Volunteering
at the Visitor Centre is
an enjoyable way to
meet new people and Participants and their footstools at the Lampshades, Laughs
