U3A’s Biggest Morning Tea
Members of U3A Roma were treated to a
convivial morning of company and coffee
when they attended the Biggest Morning Tea
fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland at
the Royal Hotel last month.
Twenty-three members enjoyed a social
morning of fun, food and friendship as well as
raising money for the Cancer Council. A
number of raffles were conducted, the prizes
being merchandise from Cancer Council
Queensland. Members were very happy with
their prizes of mugs, tea towels and an apron.
A total of $182.20 was raised by this very
generous group of U3A members.
Thank-you to all who attended our Biggest
Morning Tea and helped to raise funds for this
very worthy cause. We have all been touched
in one way or another by the scourge of
cancer, so it is wonderful to be able to provide
funds to assist in any way to reduce the
prevalence of this disease.
