championships. In addition to the
championship, there will be a Queensland
versus New South Wales State of Origin Trial
where the 6 best trailers and their dogs from
each state go head-to-head in a competition
as fierce as its football namesake.
The event is supported by major sponsor
Santos and generous sponsorship of local
businesses and also cattle and transport
donors. Without this support the event
couldn’t go ahead. Proceeds from the food
and beverages will go to the local P&C and
Benderoo Bulls.
Local trailers to watch include Anita Albeck
and Ross Kehl who are running the trial and
have a lot of experience between them.
Dulacca trailer Isaac Holtz and Drillham’s
Jamie Sturrock have a few Australian and
Queensland Championships between them so
will be highly competitive.
Wallumbilla is set to host the Australian
Working Cattle Dog Championships for the
first time from August 9-11, 2019. Over 150
