OVERCOMIN G PROBLEMS
"A negative mind
WILL NEVER
GIVE YOU A
POSITIVE
life."
When handling my problems, I like to think
of the quote, “A negative mind will never give
you a positive life.” When I was younger, I
went through some issues in my life where
keeping a positive attitude was tough. For ex-
ample, My best friend and I got into a really
big argument which caused major drama. I
didn’t really know how to handle it in a pos-
itive way, so I turned to other negative ways
to deal with the problem. I used to push my
problems to the side, or just not care about
my decisions. However, I have realized that
if you make careless decisions now, then you
may end up regretting them later on in life,
or it will be something you will have to live
with for the rest of your life. Even though the
situation was bad, I could have looked at it in
a more positive way, and been understanding,
instead of assuming everything she said was
mean and harmful. Today, her and I are clos-
er than we’ve ever been before. Sometimes
when we are dealing with problems some of
us feel that we have to fix it ourselves, or it’s
our fault, but really we need time to process
what happened, and not think the worst of
the situation.
In addition to keeping a positive outlook, I try
to keep my faith involved with any situation I
am in. My favorite bible quote that motivates
me is 1 Corinthians 10:13. This verse basically
states that God will never give you anything
you can’t handle.
