Nathan V. lives in Illinois; however, he is originally from South
Africa. When he was born, his family moved to Zimbabwe, and when
he was a year old, they moved to Dubai, UAE. Over the years, he has
moved around the Middle East until coming to the U.S. two and a
half years ago. He is in 12th grade and has been a part of the Blue
Umbrella since the March 2018 issue. He is a writer and copy editor.
His favorite hobby is playing board games.
Rebekah V. lives in northwestern Illinois and is in the 11th
grade. This is her 3rd year with the Blue Umbrella, and she carries
the responsibilities of being a writer, photographer, and editor. Her
favorite hobbies include taking pictures, listening to music, being
with friends, and hunting.
Emily S. lives in Turkey. She is in her first semester of 8th
grade and has been a part of the Blue Umbrella for two editions
now. Emily is a writer, an editor, and a designer. Her favorite hobby
is to write, in which she is currently writing a novel.
Sammy C. lives in Bogotá, Colombia, and just finished the
11th grade. She became a part of the Blue Umbrella in the spring
of 2017. She has the responsibilities of being a writer, a layout/
designer, and she also shares some of her art in the magazines.
She loves to draw, dance, and learn languages.

Suricke B. lives in the province of Northwest, South Africa, and
just finished the 9th grade. She joined the Blue Umbrella in May of
2018, and began working in it in August. In the Blue Umbrella, she is
a writer, copy editor, and layout/designer. Her absolute favorite
hobby is to watch movies.
