Speaking of music, there are various venues that allow dogs to enjoy the sounds of summer alongside their human chaperones. Peaceful Side Social in Townsend has a large outdoor dining area where pets are welcome to enjoy the leisurely surroundings. Peaceful Side Brewery in Maryville allows dogs to come in the door as well.
Then there’ s Swärā Brewing Company, located in East Maryville. It not only welcomes dogs, but encourages them to come enjoy their environs. To say this place is pet-friendly is an obvious understatement. Water bowls are everywhere.
RESTAURANTS
Several restaurants cater to a canine clientele as well. Waterfront Bar & Grill, located above the Greenway in Maryville, provides an outdoor covered dining area where dogs are always welcome. Blackhorse Pub and Brewery has a large outdoor dining area where humans and dogs can cohabitate and listen to live music. Bella in Downtown Maryville has outside tables that can be considered an ideal doggie destination. Smoky Mountain Brewery in Maryville also offers outdoor seating where a wag is always welcome.
PAWS IN THE POOL
A pant is a plus when it comes to special occasions.“ Paws in the Pool,” an annual dog swim at Springbrook Pool in Alcoa offers an opportunity for dogs big and small to cool off and enjoy a doggie dip.
