Kaveri University and Marut Drone Academy launch drone training facility in Siddipet
Kaveri University has partnered with Marut Drone Academy to establish a drone training facility in Siddipet , aimed at training over 1,000 pilots annually . The academy , covering 15,300 square meters , will offer specialized courses in drone applications for agriculture , including spraying and maintenance . The academy will collaborate with NABARD , Farmer Producer Organizations , and NGOs to promote drone technology in Telangana ' s tier II and III regions .
Aligned with national skill development goals and the Namo Drone Didi scheme , the academy will also train 15,000 women for agricultural drone tasks . Dr . Velchala Praveen Rao emphasized the
university ' s commitment to local job creation and drone technology awareness . Sai Kumar Chintala noted the growing need for skilled drone pilots and quick returns on training investment .
The facility will feature modern classrooms and a simulation and assembly lab , to provide hands-on practice for Remote Pilot Certificate ( RPC ) trainees and instructors .
