CAR-T Cell Therapy

Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell therapy ( CAR-T ) involves reprogramming a patient ' s T-cells to target and kill cancer cells . It has shown remarkable success in treating certain blood cancers .

How does CAR-T cell therapy work ?

BioTech

CAR-T cell therapy involves reprogramming a patient ' s own T-cells , which are a type of immune cells , to recognize and attack cancer cells . The process typically involves these steps : T-cells are extracted from the patient ' s blood and are genetically engineered in the laboratory to express a chimeric antigen receptor ( CAR ) on their surface . The modified CAR-T cells are cultured and multiplied in the lab to produce a large population of CAR-T cells . The expanded CAR-T cells are then infused back into the patient ' s bloodstream for attacking cancer cells .

APPLICATIONS OF CAR-T CELL THERAPY
• Targeted cancer treatment
• Acute lymphoblastic leukemia
• Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma
• Follicular Lymphoma
• Multiple Myeloma
• Solid Tumors
• Pediatric Cancers
