In Barbados she in remembered as the girl who
went to St. Winifred’s and Queens College, and
later, the woman who painted the iconic mural of a
creole girl on the walls of Brown Sugar Restaurant.
Nakazzi has grown to become that artist who makes
the beautiful masks of faces, molded from clay with
unusual adornments of sea fans and natural fibres
used to symbolize their hair.
In Jamaica - Nakazzi’s second home - the story
deepens. This woman of substance as her name
so aptly means, is a celebrated sculptor, painter,
muralist and respected designer. The Nakazzi of
Jamaica graduated from the Jamaica School of Art,
