REST DAY - LUCKNOW - DAY 13 / DAY 14
As I mentioned, I retired from Indian Army from
Lucknow, so I had to do some updation in my pension
documents, for that took a rest day.
After many years I have visited Lucknow, so the old
memories I had with this city, flashed in front of my
eyes. After some official work, I went to eat the famous
Luckanvi biryani.. Generally its says that "When in
Rome do as Romans do," this goes with any city you
travel. Every city has it's own culture and food, it's
always best to have local food of that particular city.
Lucknow is famous for it's Kebabs and Biryani and I
ate both.
I thought my work would finish in one day but I miss-
judge that, I forgot that in government stuffs, your
planning and work doesn't goes according to you, so
unwillingly I had to stay for another day also.
JHANSI - DAY 15
After saying goodbye to Lucknow, my next destination
was Jhansi, about 320 kms away from Lucknow. Till
now my cause was already viral amongst the riding
community and social media. I wasn't aware about it
but I got a cal from Time of India for a interview and
the reporter said it will be quick one, and agreed to
come to me where I was. So the "Jhansi Ki Rani Park"
was decided for the interview.
After getting interviewed and the quick video byte, I
left for the hotel where I was going to stay.

When I crossed Kota , where I met my army batch
mate, who's son escorted me out of the city quickly.
I am bit old school when it comes to riding, I usually
don't use google maps, but rather I like to ask to
people about the roads.
ABU ROAD - DAY 17
I love Rajasthan, because of it's Royalties and rich
history. I have been in many cities in Rajasthan before
also, and Abu road is one of the famous hill station in
Rajasthan, in fact it's on the border of Gujarat &
Rajasthan. Stayed night there after riding almost
about 160 kms from Udaipur.
KOTESHWAR - DAY 18 / DAY 19
After almost riding 24 days including my Guwahati
and NERM and Kibithoo, I was about to reach my
decided destination i.e. Koteshwar. It was almost
560 kms from Abu Road, As I was approaching
Koteshwar in the evening, I was evaluating my 24
day journey, what an amazing experience it was.
You know this is the best thing about riding, You
meet new new people, explore new places, get to
know about cultures of those places, it's not that
you can't explore these things in other mode of
travels but on bikes you have freedom, you don't
have to wait for the local transport, you and your
bike, you can go wherever without any hurdles.
I have rode to many places before but this ride was
bit special because this time the response which I
got from peoples wherever I have met and
interacted related to "Save The Girl Child," I don't
know but may be if someone would have taken my
interaction seriously which I believe there must be
many then I believe my purpose would be achieved.
You can't bring changes overnight, it's the process of
days & months & years and I think I will stick to my
this cause ride till the time there would be
noticeable change in the society... and till then my
ride will be continued like this.
UDAIPUR - DAY 16
On about riding 600 kms from Jhansi, I reached
Udaipur via Kota, Rajasthan - a land of forts and a
white city. I must say there are so many places one
can visit and discover in India that, one will forget to
travelling abroad. Diversity is the power of India and
every state in India has a different culture and
different importance.
I finally reached KOTESHWAR, where I visited police
station to validate my ride and the kilometers
before checking in the hotel. I spent night at
Narayan Sarovar at a Jain Tirth station.
Next day I woke up early and went to Koteshwar
Shiv Temple (a very famous temple in India), before
