BC: Do you feel, a female rider faces more challenges in riding
than the male riders?
MYP: Of course yes, physically we are not as tall as men,
neither as strong as them.. and that makes it harder to manage
the big bikes but as women we are much stronger "mentally"
and that makes us work harder towards our goals and achieve
them! And don't forget as woman we are wife and mother and
that makes it more harder to have time for passion also.
BC: What kind of chit-chat, or code you share, when you meet
another female rider (aka 'bikerni')?
MYP: They love to talk about my rides and how I've done it?
They are interested to know how I rode when I was pregnant?
There are so many questions because all of them loves to do
the same.. I always share my experience and information and
help them in any each ways I can.
BC: "Bikers Brotherhood or Sisterhood" do you believe in this
most used and famous words in the bikers community?
MYP: Yes !! I do believe in this, 'Brotherhood' do exists, and for
'Sisterhood' there are very less numbers of female riders or
groups, but in our group 'Lady Riders Of India' which is founded
by me, are 20 lady riders whom we support and stand by each
other all the time, not just because we are a group but we call it
ourselves a tribe, and as a tribe we are one.
I had a very good experience of 'Brotherhood' when I was a part
of 'HOI' & 'HOG' all the men riders supported women riders. So I
do believe in these terminology in bikers community.
BC: What you don't like about riders community or clubs?
MYP: Hmmm, I don't like the gossips they do, and sometimes
their focus moves from riding to some stupid stuffs, and as far
as the clubs are concerned, they party and drink too much,
more than the actual stuffs which they are supposed to do as a
group or club.
BC: What is that quality you think a real biker should have?
MYP: Real bikers needs to have a very strong mind, and needs
to have the reflexes to manage the problems on the spot,
because as a biker you will face so many breakdowns, so many
problems and so many things happening on the road that you
need to have very strong mind and you need to have a problem
solver attitude.
BC: If not biking, then which other adventure sport you would
have chosen?
MYP: If I had to start it from "zero' then I think I would have
gone to 'Boxing'.
BC: Do you think people ride for fame?
MYP: Yeah !! Of course !! People ride for many reasons but in
India, super biking started very recently when Harley and other
companies entered about 10 years ago,
so many people have started making business out of it in social
media. Some people ride for enjoyment and adventure but most
people ride to get fame. But I respect those riders who are not
in social media but very good bikers. There is a difference
between a bike modelling and bike riding, so those who does
modelling and claim they are biker, I think they are not... lot of
followers in social media doesn't make you a real biker.
