BC: In brief can you tell me the route which
you took for "Ride To be One?"
MYP: I started my ride from Pune - Mumbai
to Bhutan - India - Myanmar - Thailand -
Laos - Cambodia - Malaysia - Indonesia -
Australia then I flew my bike to USA and I
rode to Central America to South America
to Antarctica - Argentina then again flew
my bike to Africa - in Africa 10 countries
then back to Spain, then to all over
Western and Eastern Europe and Turkey to
Iran and from Iran to India back to home.
BC: Woahhhh !!!!! OMG !!!!
BC: Would you ride a different type of bike
i.e Cruiser if you have a Sport bike or a
Sport bike if you have a Cruiser?
MYP: I have them all and I ride them all.
BC: If you have to pick up one protective
gear before hitting on the road, what would
it be? Jacket, Helmet or Gloves?
MYP: All of it. I do not touch a bike without
being fully geared head to toe, and my
favourite gear is "Touratech" (Its one of the
best gear for adventure bikes for all
seasons).
BC: What's your dream bike or a next
bike?
MYP: The thing is that I will never ever sell
my BMW GS, because of the memories
which I have with it. But after some years I
don't mind to add another BMW GS in my
collections, I don't know which GS I would
go for.
BC: What type of rider do you think you
are? Aggressive? Conservative? or Point
A-B?
MYP: I am not a Point A-B for sure, and I
am not an aggressive rider either, in fact I
was an aggressive rider but not anymore..
because when you are on a world ride and
you are on a road for one and half years
then aggression doesn't play any role.. I
think I am very realistic rider and I love
speed but that to be in controlled one. But I
am definitely not a conservative types
because I don't like to follow others and to
ride or stay behind.
BC: As a female rider do your family
support your passion?
MYP: Yes !! very much... My mom and my
brother is been my biggest support and
my husband is very supportive too. I
always had support from family and
friends.
BC: Do you think people started riding
because of social media and a instant
fame? Or it's because, it's cool to be a
rider? Or passion and awareness for riding
has increased and people prefer riding
motorcycles and exploring different places
rather to go for a movie or a restaurant?
MYP: Yes surely, social media has
changed the world, even world of biking..
which got it's own good and bad sides!
Good side is people try to ride more and
click more and hopefully enjoy more, and
bad side is they do anything to get so
called "followers" and they forget the
actual joy of riding is spending time with
themselves and fellow riders and enjoy the
beautiful nature and that's the reasons we
ride not the clicks for social media!
BC: What's your point of view on bikers
who break the rules on roads or about
disciplinary riding?
MYP: Bikers need to have their disciplines
while riding.. and about breaking rules
specially in India I can't be the right person
to answer this question as I feel in some
rides if I don't break the rule I never make it
home and I'll be in that traffic for rest of my
life, but in first world countries, if you
break rules, you die.
BC: Have you come across to any wanna
be riders?
MYP: Oh Many !! I don't want to name it
here but I suppose and I hope that they
should get in to the real biking and see
how biking is joyable and wonderful.
BC: Being a female rider, have you come
across to any obscene comments on you?
MYP: Not really !! I have always been
respected amongst the bikers and bikers
community, and I am not that active on
social media, apart from biking I do have
my professional life which is very very
serious, so I don't think I have ever came
across to these types of comments !
BC: What does it feel, being a female rider
in a community which is majorly
dominated by the male riders?
MYP: I believe biking has no gender, that's
why I believe men can't dominate this
community and with the world ride I have
done which no other men did it in Asia and
Middle East, I proved the same.. and in the
realistic side which we have to go with
majority beliefs and call it the male
dominated, I never had any issue.. men
always respected me and helped me
whenever I needed help!
BC: Have you come across to any girl
or woman who wants to learn geared
bikes and join bikers community?
MYP: Yes !! I get so many messages,
many woman tells me their dream is to
ride bikes and go on to a road trip, and
they asks me how they can start
riding?
BC: What do you feel about those
women and girls who wants to become
a rider?
MYP: I think if they have a passion for
riding then they should start riding.
They should not ride, because they see
my pictures and think riding is very
cool thing to do. But they should ride
only if they think riding will make them
enjoy their life more and they want to
enjoy the thrill and adventure.
