• Understand and respect the need for security in the workplace
• Work with a team of horses and colleagues with respect
• Work safely, with supervision, to reduce risk of injury to the horse, themselves or others
• Take responsibility for own duties
Teamwork
• Work effectively as part of a team, within own roles and responsibilities
Communication
• Communicate effectively and confidently with others
• Ask for advice and seek clarification where needed
• Contribute to review of own performance and progress
• Confidently express how they feel
• Communicate how they think a horse feels or responds to an activity
• Communicate the response of the horse in relation to their normal way of going
• Begin to communicate differences and horse preferences for example rein or direction
