Welfare
• Select and wear the appropriate PPE when handling and riding
• Identify, report and respond to risks and hazards in the riding environment and workplace
• Report all incidents and accidents to the appropriate person
• Work in ways that maintain health, safety and security of horses, themselves and others
• Work consistently to relevant legislation, codes of practice and any additional requirements
• Maintain safety by riding with an awareness and due regard of others, always
• Carry an exercise whip in preferred hand maintaining organised reins and an appropriate level of contact
• Work in partnership with the horse
