Harry Fowler - Britbet

Two of my main passions are marketing , which I studied at university , and horse racing . Putting those two together is a dream job for me . Until I came across this programme I hadn ’ t ever even thought about the possibility of a career in the sport . I ’ ve always loved racing but I have only seen what ’ s on TV or on social media . I ’ m most looking forward to learning about everything people don ’ t see and all the tremendous work that goes on behind the scenes .

In the future I aspire to be involved in racing for a job , to have my stamp on something I ’ m so passionate about and have been since a young age .

I would love to elevate the perception of horse racing by promoting its ethical practices and animal welfare that ’ s been worked on majorly all over the sport . This then showcases the sport ’ s rich history and excitement .

Imogen Griffin - National Racehorse Week

I ’ m a 21-year-old graduate from The Royal Agricultural University , where I studied Rural Land Management . During my time at university , I worked at Nigel Twiston-Davies Racing and Jeremy Scott Racing , which sparked my interest in pursuing a career that combines aspects of the racing industry with the skills I acquired during my degree . This interest led me to the Development Programme , and I am delighted to have been accepted onto this highly respected course . I ’ m eager to learn about the various sectors of racing during the two-week training programme in Newmarket and look forward to meeting new people through the course . Most of all , I ‘ m excited about working with the team during my placement with National Racehorse Week . Upon completing my placement , I aim to secure a role that allows me to enhance education within the sport and make it more inclusive . This programme will enable me to help more people understand and appreciate horse racing , giving greater access to those who might not ordinarily have the chance to engage with the sport .
