Diffit Diffit is an AI tool that will help generate text reading levels for any type of text . You can copy and paste text into it and select what grade level to adjust it to and it will do so , as well as create vocabulary , summary and a short quiz appropriate to the reading level . You can also use a website url and have that website adjusted to a certain grade level while also recieving the same features as the text- vocabulary , summary and short quiz . If you are discussing a topic and want to find some information at a certain grade level , Diffit can do that as well . This tool will make differentiating for students much easier and will save intervention specialists time from altering resources from the general classroom .
Curipod Curipod is a tool that creates presentations for you . Students can log in and interact with the presentations similar to nearpod . By providing the topic , grade and state standard you are working on it will create a presentation for you that includes information about the topic , questions for students to answer to check understanding and short activities they can complete . This will help teachers save time in creating engaging lessons on topics . As with the majority of these tools though , make sure you double check the work that is generated . With this being a presentation where you are teaching on a topic you would not want to present inaccurate information .
Summarize . Tech As the name would suggest this AI tool helps with summaries . The difference here is that it will create summaries from videos . As a teacher this will help you with a video you may be showing in class to write questions or even for grading video questions without having to rewatch the video . For students this will help those who may struggle to follow along or have trouble hearing or seeing what is going on . You can also take these summaries and create quizzes or questions by using ChatGPT or another AI tool . Another tip would be taking the questions and applying them to the video in edpuzzle to create an edpuzzle quickly since the summary tells you the time in the video .
Conclusion The above tools are just a few that you can use in order to begin saving time and energy with Artificial Intelligence . It is not likely , as a teacher , that you will get an assistant , but these AI tools may be the next best thing . They will help you to accomplish the mundane tasks that go along with teaching and free you up to have more time to spend with your students . Embracing technology and teaching our students the proper ways to interact with it will prove to be beneficial to all . A final side note is that with all of these wonderful AI tools that can help make things easier for us sometimes AI can get it wrong , so always make sure you are reading through and double checking things before you give it to your students .
