Also, as part of the goal of the American Space to
increase the scientific exchanges between the
public and scientists the Science Corner hosted
two school visits during the month of June.
The Science Corner worked together with the
NGO Guyra Paraguay to encourage elementary
school children to learn about Paraguayan native
birds and birdwatching.

Opportunity
Festival
As part of our outreach program, the Benjamin
Franklin Science Corner participated of Techauka
Science and Opportunity festival. For Techauka,
the Benjamin Franklin Science Corner worked
together with the Fulbright Association in
Paraguay and the United States Embassy in
Paraguay. The program included the sixth science
and opportunity festival in San Ignacio city. The
goal of the program was to take Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and
opportunities to underrepresented population.
The approximately 4500 participants included
students from more than ten different high
schools from the department of Misiones.
