On June, the Benjamin Franklin Science Corner participated of the XX Edition of Guardianes del
Medioambiente which is a contest to create awareness about our environment. For Guardianes,
the Benjamin Franklin Science Corner worked together with Roosevelt Library of the CCPA, the
World Wide Fund or WWF and the Information a Resource Center of the United Nations.

The program included presentations of the winning team of the competition and two speakers
about climate change. The goal of the program aligns with the embassy goal to take
consciousness that climate change is a problem which affects all citizens of the world. The 400
or more participants included students from thirteen different high schools from surrounding
areas of the Science Corner and the central area of Asunción.
