MAY AT THE BFSC

On May, the Benjamin Franklin Science Corner participated of Techauka Science and Opportunity festival. For Techauka, the Benjamin Franklin Science Corner worked together with the Fulbright Association in Paraguay and the United States Embassy in Paraguay. The program included the fifth science and opportunity festival in Asuncion. The goal of the program was to take science, technology, engineer, art, math, and opportunities to underrepresented population. The 5000 or more participants included students from eight different high schools from surrounding areas of the Science Corner.

Science Club wednesday

The Science Corner hosted a science club every Wednesday with four different STEAM activities. The goal of this activity was to highlight young, inspiring engineers and scientists to inspire the public about science. Participants explored renewable energies, formed windmills using everyday materials, discovered different physical forces, and build a race car using recycle materials and 3D printed parts. The young participants were from different parts of Asuncion and surrounding areas.
