Out-of-town stores are located outside the main central shopping area of a town or city and often having plenty of free car parking. Many customers prefer to drive to out-of-town retail developments, where parking is easier and more accessible.
Many retailing activities changed location to out-of-town complexes because of the availability of large areas of unused land which was cheap in comparison to land within the town or city centre which is usually too crowed or overpopulated.
