• Jewellery must be discreet. One pair of earrings are allowed in the lower lobe. No
other visible piercings are permitted.
• Nail polish is allowed but must be of a conservative colour.
SENIOR BOYS
• A complete, matching two or three piece suit in conservative style, business like
colours and patterns. Trousers must be of classic, tailored fit and full length.
Skinny/skin tight trousers are not permitted. Belts, braces and tie clips are allowed.
• Shirts must be suit shirts with a rigid collar. Plain, chequered and stripy patterns
are allowed but must not be ostentatious. Jumpers should be plain and v-neck
• Black or dark brown leather smart shoes. Footwear must not have zips, buckles or
other accessories beside laces..
• Coats must be black or navy, three quarter length coat made of waterproof or wool
material. Dark brown or green barbour-style or waxed jackets are acceptable. The
coat must be big enough to cover the blazer or suit jacket. No ‘parkas’, ‘bomber
jacket-style’ coats are permitted. No markings or branding should be visible on the
coat. Canterbury Sports jackets are for sporting fixtures only.

• Haircuts must be of conservative style. Hair must not have a large difference in its
length over the cut; for example very short on the sides and long on the top. Long
hair is not permitted.
• No facial hair is permitted, boys must be clean shaven.
• Summer uniform (when permission is granted) comprises of tailored/classic fit
chinos with a jacket, shirt and tie. The shirt and jacket rules above still apply.
Chinos must be beige/off white in colour and must be genuine chinos (they must be
cotton/twill fabric, not denim or other materials) and they must fit like a suit
trouser, bearing no logos/branding. Jackets may or may not be worn. However, if not
worn, jumpers are not allowed. Shoes as described.
