SPORT AND ACTIVITY INFORMATION
At Bede’ s we pride ourselves on a rich sporting provision. As an HMC school we must comply with their code of conduct – this applies to our players and our spectators
# Team Bede’ s Our Sports department aims to inspire each generation. The ethos and core values of # Team Bede’ s are:
• Teamwork- ask not what your team mates can do for you, but what you can do for your team mates
• Respect-ourselves and others. Accept the decisions made by officials. Be fully committed in every training sessions and match- respect the game
• Enjoyment- comes from improvement, making friends, seeing others develop and success. Understand your own goals.
• Humility- be humble, aware of others importance, be polite. Thank those who spend time making sure you have a good experience( sports staff, teachers, cleaners, grounds team, transport, catering)
• Discipline- discipline from within. Be on time, correct kit, organised and putting effort in on and off the pitch
• Leadership – demonstrate good communication skills, positivity and trustworthiness, be motivational, and be committed to the task and the team
AT BEDE’ S WE EXPECT 1. Our pupils to learn the rules and play within them; to show good sportsmanship at all times, never playing unfairly or arguing with officials.
2. Our spectators to set a good example by recognizing fair play and applauding good performance by all players. Spectators should not comment in a negative manner towards any player, coach or official. Bad language will not be tolerated either on or off the field.
