Junior School Year 1s Have Fun Learning the World Cup Trudy Widjaja, Year 5 Besides cheering for their Milepost teams, the Year 1s researched the geography of the countries which participated in the World Cup. They found out about the capital, the population, and many more. They also researched about Brazil and its rainforest. They discussed their research in groups and as a whole class. “I learnt a lot of things about Brazil!” exclaimed an energetic Year 1 learner, Meagan. To learn about the history of the World Cup, they created a gigantic timeline that stretched across the classroom. The timeline shows the countries hosting it and more. The Year Ones truly learnt a lot of new and exciting things.
