The trumpet section
would like to thank...
Rene Garza: Thanks to Mr. Marines for showing us everything we know and helping us
grow as individuals and as a band. Thank you to all my classmates that have been here
since the beginning, it has been a long journey but we accomplished our goals.
Finally, thank you to all our classmates that are not here today but still helped us
become the band we are today.
Enrique Montemayor: Thank you to everyone who contributed to our concerts and
the recording. Thank you to my parents for appreciating the fact that I'm in band.
Thank you to Mr. Marines for always trying to do a little bit more. Thank you to the
generation that plays band for making band fun. Thank you to all of the teachers for
understanding when we have to miss class for a concert. Thank you to the bands of
higher generations for inspiring us and helping us with some of our songs.
Sofia Guenther: My first year in ASFM was made 100 times better because I got the
chance to be surrounded by incredibly talented musicians and people. We have worked
together to create who we are now, and hopefully will continue doing so as a group.
I want to thank all of you for making me happy in times of stress, making me give the
best of my abilities and encouraging me to do so, and I hope I was able to do that for
you. Thank you Mr., for never giving up on us and helping us to strive for greatness at
every opportunity that you have given us. Day 2 has been the best class ever, more than
friends, a family who is always there for one another! We are and will always be one
band one sound :)
Regina Gamboa: First of all, Iʼd like to thank every single person (especially the ones
that are in the 8th grade band) that enhanced my experience during the 4 years that
I have been in band. Iʼm happy that everyone has made me want to continue my
journey in band, in hopes that we will be making great music together. I see everyone
as a family everytime we share laughs and jokes, and I canʼt be happier to have met all
of you. Obviously, Iʼd like to thank Mr. Marines for telling me that I should play the
trumpet when we had the sixth grade auditions and continued pushing to continue
with that same instrument. Another reason Iʼd to thank him is because of his way of
pushing all of us to be better. A band is nothing without growth and Mr. Marines
definitely saw our potential, identified in front of us right in our faces (even if we
couldnʼt accept) and made sure to give us the right amount of challenge so that we
can suffer a little bit, but we can also grow and improve. Thank you for giving us the
opportunity to come to band and learn something new each day, even if we had
no idea that it even existed. Iʼm super happy to continue next year and I hope that it
will be just as great as last year.
Esperanza García-Cirilo: I would like to say thank you to all of my band mates.
Getting to know you over the last three years has been a great experience. Thank
you for making me laugh and always making me have a good time while playing.
Thank you Mr. Marines for always believing and challenging us to new things.
Santiago Sada: Thank you to all the trumpet section for helping me when I needed
help and to the percussion section because Jose also helped me learn how to play
in the percussion section.. Thank you allies for becoming my friends and helping me
overcome things. Thanks Mr. Marines for having patience when I decided to change
to percussion and still allowing me to play.
