State Mixed Team Makes First Appearance Since 2002
Madison, Mississippi – With 18 holes played in round
1 and 9 holes played in round 2 due to rain, the MGA
named its first Mixed Team champions in over 15 years.
Day 1 leaders David Coleman and Shannon Adams
continued their strong play by shooting 33 in their second
round, bringing them to 91 total. This proved to be
enough to win the overall championship by two strokes
over Lucy Nunn and Glenn Partrick who finished at 93.
In the first flight, Alan and Lou Hart ended with a two
day total of 99 to win the flight over David and Grace
Sinclair who totaled 102.
Dana and Wyatt Koerner won the second flight by
one stroke, scoring 32 in round 2 to bring them to 105.
This was just enough to hold off Eddie and Robin Steele,
who finished at 106.
The MGA acknowledged this was a special event this
year, and the organization looks for this event to continue
to grow every year and become something every golfer
looks forward to in the future. The organization thanked
Nick Bailes, Steen Wansley, Dave Henninger, and
