2018 John Bryan Cup Team Club Championship
West Point, Mississippi – Temperatures dropped
drastically following Friday morning rains, but the sun
made an appearance early Saturday morning to burn off
the frost. Eleven Member Clubs were represented this year
for the annual championship. Another cold challenging
day was in store for the final day at the 2018 John Bryan
Cup Team Club Championship.
Fulton Country Club held on to the Round 1 lead with
a two-day total of 600, winning by only a single stroke over
Deerfield Golf Club. The team scored the lowest total
of Round 2 at 293, and finished at 601 overall for the
tournament.
Only one stroke behind them in third place was
Canebrake Country Club with a total of 602 for the
weekend. Richard Reed of Old Waverly Golf Club won
overall by shooting 144 over two days. The individual
Senior Division champion, with a total score of 149, was
David Sellers.
The MGA acknowledged Old Waverly Golf Club and
staff for hosting.
