New Campus Recycling Facilities
New recycling bins have been placed throughout the Campus, including in the library, down The Street, and
throughout the Academy, Primary and Nursery schools. Paper, card, cans and plastic bottles can all be recycled in
the new bins which were provided by Zero Waste Highland Perthshire – a project to encourage the community to
send less waste to landfill.
**DID YOU KNOW**
It takes 24 trees to make 1 ton of newspaper!
It only takes 6 weeks for an aluminum can to be recycled and ready to use
again!
It takes 75% less energy to recycle a plastic bottle than it does to make a
new one!
WEEE term comes to Breadalbane
It’s also the start of “WEEE term” at Breadalbane. For the whole term you can pop
your broken waste electrical and electronic equipment in one of the two specially
marked bins at the main Campus entrance and at the nursery entrance (pictured to
the right). Get involved now by hunting through your cupboards, shed and garage
for unwanted, broken or old hairdryers, toasters, kettles, telephones, electronic
scales, hair-straighteners, leads, chargers, speakers, remote controls, children's
electrical toys, radios, lamps, sat-navs, IT equipment, DIY tools, powered garden
tools and gadgets.
**DID YOU KNOW**

UK!
WEEE collected in Perth & Kinross is recycled locally - at Viridor in
Perth!
