Winter is here and with it comes the desire for hearty , warming meals that not only satisfy your taste buds but also keep you healthy . Fortunately , there are plenty of foods that fit the bill . Here are some delicious and nutritious foods to include in your winter diet .
Sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes and other root vegetables , like carrots and beetroot are packed with vitamins , minerals and fibre . Roast them in the oven ( or airfryer ) with some herbs and spices for a comforting side dish or add them to soups and stews for extra nutrition .
