AYOBA MUSIC MAG October 2012 | Page 22

the masses are creating major demand. While the internet has its positives theer is also a negative side. By creating demand means an influx in music which unfortunately some are of poor. The lack of mastering being a major contributor. As an artist or label you have to respect your audiences moreso your music, the quality and structure. Not only create a loop and distribute as music. As we said there’s are positives and negatives, so back to the positive, the Internet has given us the ability to seek what we really like and should be used as a tool to reach out to a wider audience but not limiting yourselt to it only.

5. Which country have you visited through being booked and which is your favorite?

We already been in some countries like USA, England, France, Greece, Argentina, Chile. We had gret time in all countries but we loved this cities London (UK), Viña del Mar in Chile and Athens, Zakynthos and Crete, all islands in Greece.

6. Do you use loops or prefer to program your beat from single hits?

We can do both, but for loops we always change something to make it suit what we want at the time. We would never use an original loop. Also, we are used to building our own beats using ultrabeat on logic.

7. What is the key ingredient in a track? breakdown? Style of production? Bassline?

We think its a mix of everything, bass, beats, groove, vocal, piano, feelings. Everything. Its not only one element. The key is when you feel all of these elements working together and sound amazing.

8. When building a track how do you normally work? Do you start with the drum and build from that?

Yes, the drum for us is like when you will build a house, you start at the foundation and after you build up the house. We start from a drum, go to the studio with Daniel Reis, BSC musician, and add some elements like bassline, synths, rhodes, whatever fits on it.
