9. Do you mainly use analog or digital soft synth sources? Do you think analog makes a different?
We use both, it depends on the track we’ll be working on. Allthough today digital sound has evolved greatly, the analog still makes a difference for bass and metals.
10. Any advice on monitoring? Quiet? Loud ? Do you prefer flat and boring Speakers, headphones or Big, Phat and chunky monitors?
We have a pair of KRK Rokit 5 to record sessions, but for a pre mix we have a AKG K414p. Its flat and you can hear all elements cleary.
11. What are the biggest barriers new producers face?
Its hard to say something, we are still learning how to play this game. May be the biggest barries is to get everyone's attention to your music.
12. How important do you think it is to have your music mastered commercially? Can you do it yourself as effectively and what tools would you recommend?
Its very important. No one plays a good track with bad sound. NO ONE. Mastering compliments the sounds, the music. We don’t master our own tracks. You have to study about it, gain the knownledge, and invest in the right setup for it. We usally do a pre mix as a reference then we send all to Matt Bell (SoulBasics) who does all our mixing and mastering.
13. What do you believe is the secret to your success as a producer?
Hum, like we said before, we are still learning how to play this game and we are not sucessfull. But we believe knowledge and love is key. As long as you love what you do, then you have to push it. Believe in yourself and respect to everyone.
14. Any advice for the aspiring producers out there?
Keep House music alive. Do your things with love, everything. Respect the oldschool guys, play what you feel and listen to all kinds of music.
