Dwight Eide, CD (ON PC)

This Certificate of Merit is presented to Dwight Eide, CD, in recognition of his valued and dedicated service to the League as a Director in Northern Ontario. He joined the OPC following a distinguished thirty-year career as a CIC Officer in the Cadet flying program, including 20 years as commander of the Gliding Centre in Iroquois Falls. Although assigned to 10 Timmins Kiwanis Squadron, Dwight has taken-on additional responsibilities as co-odinator of Effective Speaking competitions and National Courses interview boards, and League representative at Annual Reviews and Summer Training graduation parades - in a part of Ontario where distances are measured in hours, not kilometres.

Rose-Anne Gladu (QOV PC)

Ms. Gladu’s availability and listening skills are such that she is highly appreciated by the other members of the committees on which she sits and enable her to meet their needs. Her open-mindedness makes her an important member of our organization.

Mike W. Giovanetti (ON PC)

A new Air Cadet squadron requires at least one champion on each side of the League/DND partnership. 37 (Orville Hand) Squadron in Bradford was fortunate, therefore, to have Mike Giovanetti – President, Branch 521, Royal Canadian Legion take on the challenge of being its first Sponsoring Committee Chairperson. Not only was he successful in having the Branch accept sponsorship of the Squadron with pride and enthusiasm, but he has also secured significant support from the Town of Bradford and from the community at large, and he has generated a qualified and effective Squadron Sponsoring Committee. His leadership and selfless dedication are gratefully acknowledged.

Daniel Marshall Hutt (ON PC)

ln just two years, Dan Hutt has established himself as a leader and valued contributor on the OPC Board of Governors. Two decades after helping to establish one of Ontario's most successful Air Cadet Squadrons, he joined the provincial Board of Governors at a time that required urgent and expert guidance to restore its financial position. After a remarkably successful year as Treasurer, he has continued - as 1st Vice-Chair - to provide energetic and inspired leadership, in collaboration with the Chair and Executive Committee, to reshape, redirect, and enable the OPC to meet its ongoing challenges and commitments.
