Congratulation to the worthy winners and our thanks to all who entered. The
entry this year was noteworthy for excellent photography and the wide variety
of subjects chosen for the sequences.
Bridgend CC will shortly be sending out a DVD of all the entries and a copy
of the judges notes to all clubs affiliated to the WPF. Non affiliated clubs can
request this DVD.
Next year's competition will be judged in March 2013. The closing date for
entries will be 10th February 2013.

Photo Harmony or AV?
Jill K. Bunting CPAGB
What's the difference?
According to the Bridgend rules: 'The Photo Harmony category of AV allows
photographers to demonstrate their skills in the production and visual
progression of images linked to sound. No words or story with a specific
beginning, middle and ending are required. The emphasis is on matching the
images with appropriate transitions and harmonising them with the sound.'
As I personnally see it, Photo Harmony is the stepping stone for 'Single Image'
Photographers to make the first move into AV.
An 'AV' is all about communication, it has a story line, spoken or otherwise. It
has a beginning, middle and end. If you change the order of the images you
change the message.
