DAY 1 Cairns
On arrival make your own way to your hotel , where the remainder of the day is free to settle back and relax . .
DAY 2 Cairns
An exciting day awaits you , as you make your way to Marlin Jetty to join a Dreamtime Dive and Snorkel vessel . Enjoy breakfast as you board and receive your snorkelling equipment for use throughout the day as you visit two premium outer reef sites . On arrival at the first location , morning tea is served and water activities commence , and the stunning underwater world is sure to take your breath away . After lunch , head to the second site for more watery adventure before setting sail back to Cairns .
DAY 3 Cairns
At leisure to sit back and relax or explore . Don ’ t miss the popular Cairns Lagoon , a vast outdoor swimming pool with crystal-clear seawater and sandy beaches . Lined with bars , restaurants and pubs , it ’ s a great place to be at any time during the day and night .
DAY 4 Cairns / Atherton Tablelands
Collect your hire car and set off for the next leg of your tour . The journey is very scenic with a variety of incredibly beautiful landscapes and attractions along the way . Your destination , the Atherton Tablelands , is a region with scenic vistas at every turn , impressive lakes , lush rainforest and rugged outback ( 58 miles ).
DAY 5 Atherton Tablelands
The day is yours to explore as you wish . In such a scenic region you may wish to follow one of the many hiking trails , head underground to explore the Chillagoe Caves or , perhaps spend the day taking in the Waterfall Circuit , where as well as soaking up the sight of these photogenic waterfalls , you can also enjoy a refreshing swim .

DAY 6 Atherton Tablelands / Port Douglas
Travel back to the coast today and the chic , yet relaxed seaside village of Port Douglas , regarded as a great base for visiting the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park ( 74 miles ).
DAY 7 Port Douglas
If you don ’ t fancy a day unwinding on the beach , Port Douglas is a great stepping stone to the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation . We highly recommend that you head out and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature . This evening , you ’ ll find no end of bars and restaurants where you can dine on fresh local ingredients sourced with low food miles .
DAY 8 Port Douglas
Today ’ s boutique food and wine experience will be a day to remember . Begin at the Rainforestation Nature park where you enjoy breakfast before heading on to Skybury Coffee & Papaya Plantation which is located at the top of the Great Dividing Range . Continue to Mount Uncle Distillery and then Gallo Dairyland , known for its delicious handcrafted chocolates and gourmet cheese factory . Travel on through farmland for a tasting and shopping treat at The Humpy and then on to the Golden Drop Winery before the tour concludes with a visit to the Platypus Hut .
DAY 9 Port Douglas / Cairns
Bid farewell to Port Douglas as you drive the short distance to Cairns where you return your car and the tour concludes ( 41 miles ).
