Senior Services ■ Page 25 Senior Fitness Programs Most Senior Fitness programs are open to adults age 55 and up. Some programs allow participants under age 55. See program descriptions or call to inquire. Registration required unless otherwise noted. Residency requirements for some programs. Knowing and understanding there are certain risks involved in your voluntary decision to participate in these activities, we recommend that you consult your doctor before starting any exercise program. Warming up and cooling down are a vital part of a safe and effective exercise class. Please arrive on time to participate in the warm-up for each class and remain through completion of the cool down stretch. TRY IT B4 U BUY IT During the week of January 6th-10th, the Auburn Hills Senior Services Department will offer multiple fitness classes, free to older adult residents, to showcase our age-friendly wellness programs. You must register to participate and can attend any of the Health, Wellness & Fitness classes designated for this week only. Meditation, Strength Training, Swim, Morning Yoga, Drawing 101, Cellar Door Wine Academy (see Arts & Culture)Tai Chi, Zumba Gold, Sit and Be Fit, Open Walking, Bounce Volleyball, Nia and Balance or Circuit Training. North Oakland Adult Ski Club Whether you are a first time skier or haven’t hit the slopes in a few years, this is your chance to embrace Michigan winter sports.
