The whole secret is persistence and repetition...and doing the things that must be done to get to the destination. All the journaling and affirming in the world will not get you there unless you get up and move toward it consistently.

Now of course, a person must be realistic. No amount of affirming is going to get you the voice of Pavarotti or the speed of an Olympic sprinter- unless you already have significant talents in those areas...but you can significantly improve upon anything that you do have. As far as it taking weeks and months to accomplish something- how about all the months, years- or maybe even decades you were wishing things were different, and just lived with your current unsatisfying situation? Doesn't it feel better to spend at least a few minutes every day giving yourself a little push in the right direction? A little push here, a little push there, and it all adds up. Eventually you find that even if you're not yet all the way there, you're a great deal closer than you were. Reward yourself in small ways for each of the steps, and the process will become more enjoyable. By the time you reach the landmark goal, you will be ready to tackle the next one with greater assurance.

No, it's not easy, even if it is simple.

Yes, it takes time, focus, energy and determination....and above all, WORK.

Do you want it? How badly do you want it?

It's up to you.
