Parent Pick-Up after Games & Practices
At CCS we value family time for our students , coaches , and faculty . It is essential that student athletes are promptly picked up at the posted time after practices and games . These times are published on the school ’ s Google calendar and CCS app ( subscribing to the Athletics channel to receive push notifications ). Due to safety and liability issues , our coaches must remain with the athletes until all the athletes are picked up . Parents , please make every effort to pick up athletes at the published return time . Do not wait until the posted time to leave your home ; plan to arrive at the pick-up location PRIOR to the posted pick-up time . Repeated failure to pick up athletes after practices or games may result in removal from the team .
Travel to Athletic Events
• When the school is responsible for transporting athletes to games and practices , all school policies will be followed .
• Athletes must ride with their assigned driver and may not switch vehicles without approval by the Coach ( in extenuating circumstances .)
• When an after-school practice is held at an off-site location , athletes will travel with the team in transportation ( carpool ) arranged by the coach . Parents wishing to drive their own athlete to the practice location ( i . e ., field ) must inform the coach of the plan that is expected to be in place for the entire season . This plan should not change on a daily or weekly basis .
For some sports , particularly elementary teams , students will be dismissed from school directly to their parents . Parents are then responsible for arranging transportation to practices where students will re-enter the care and supervision of the school during the practice .
• When parents elect to transport their own athletes , they must inform the coach directly .
• Student-athletes who are registered drivers with the school , are permitted with parent permission to drive only themselves to practices . Written permission from both sets of parents is required for any student to transport another student and must be filed with the school office .
• Athletes must be picked up from games and practices by an adult listed on the student ’ s school records ( Sycamore ) unless written permission is received from both sets of parents .
