Omni G3 is the industry’s first camera with

In the Beginning There Was Arecont Vi-
sion
Arecont Vision pioneered the multi-sensor
camera market, bringing the industry’s first to
the market in 2006 with fixed-view 180 and 360o
4-sensor panoramic megapixel cameras.
The SurroundVideo panoramic cameras are to-
day in their 5th generation, and can be found
installed in hundreds of thousands of customer
installations around the globe. All Surround-
Video cameras also
require only a single PoE (Power over Ethernet)
cable to operate.
All SurroundVideo cameras record non-stop, with
multiple video streams, so no coverage is ever
lost when the operator zooms in on any part of
the covered scene, unlike a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom)
camera. A SurroundVideo multi-sensor can slash the
number of required fixed-view or PTZ cameras
while also reducing installation time and cost,
and since they only require a single camera li-
cense with most video management systems
(VMS) and network video recorders (NVR), they
also slash software fees.
Also unlike a PTZ, the improved situational
awareness they deliver doesn’t come with high
maintenance costs due to constant movement
and wear of gears, belts, and motors.
The fixed 180 or 360 degree views make the
camera easy to install, and remote focus models
speed that effort even further.
