THE EUROPEAN TRAINING CENTRE( ETC)
The Australian Institute of Sport European Training Centre( ETC) is an Australian training facility located about 50 minutes drive from Milan. It was well placed to support Team Australia’ s Milano Cortina 2026 campaign.
The ETC is a“ home away from home” for Aussie athletes who often spend up to six months of the year away from family and friends. The long flight to Europe and cost of travel means returning home is increasingly difficult- especially during the final qualification period.
The ETC provided a central preparation hub with a structured and consistent environment where athletes and staff could finalise pre-Games training, manage travel logistics, and maintain continuity of highperformance daily routines.
