ASAP’s food processing sector is affiliated and recognized by FICSI Sector Skill Council and NSDC. The sector runs two skill courses namely Jam Jelly and Ketchup Processing Technician and Craft Baker. Both the courses are designed adhering to the NSQF. Craft baker course enables students in designing and developing of special bakery products, packing and storing of bakery items, cleanliness to be maintained at work area, documenting and maintaining records and ensure health and safety at the workplace. In Jam Jelly Ketchup Processing technician, student is trained in production of Jam,Jelly, Ketchup, Marmalade and Vinegar, students are also trained in documenting and maintaining records, ensuring health and safety at the workplace. Students are also given an intermediate industrial exposure with two visits to Food Processing Industries. Both the courses have a compulsory internship of 150 hours in respective industries for giving the student a real time hands-on experience in the course content learnt.
