Your song “Unbreakable” has a powerful message against bullying. Is it based on your own experiences? The song is based on my own and what I’ve seen around me. I wrote the song after I received a lot of fanmail and messages from fans asking me for help as they were getting bullied. I just thought, what better way for me to send the message that everything will be OK than through my music. spread the word on Anti Bullying through interviews around the world and around schools. Earlier this year you appeared on Sunrise to discuss these issues. How important was this appearance in helping to raise awareness of the campaign? I was grateful to be able to appear on the show as it helped garner the attention of many Australians I wasn’t able to connect with online. It was also the The song led you to becoming a national ambassador for the Bully Free Australia Foundation. Can you tell us more about the work which this Foundation does, and your role as ambassador? Bully Free Australia Foundation was established to create awareness about Bullying and ways to prevent it and help people who are going through it. I’m doing everything I can as an ambassador to first time I ever announced that was getting bullied when growing up and I think people appreciated my honesty, because I received a lot of great feedback after that interview and opportunities to reach out to other bully victims. Have you ever had problems with internet trolls or cyberbullying? How do you deal with these issues?
