“Saint Petersburg” is a western seaport city in Russia with lots of highlights, the most prominent one being the “Hermitage Museum”. The museum was originally the Winter Palace, but it was renovated into the largest museum in Russia with an array of more than 3 million pieces of art displays and invaluable heritage of the Romanov Dynasty. The next attraction is the Church of the Savior of Blood, which is my
favorite place thanks to its exotic and majestic beauty. Inside the church, there is an elegant and dazzling mosaic that is 7,500 square meters in size.
There are also two interesting palaces outside Saint Petersburg, namely, the Catherine Palace or Pushkin Palace, and the Peterholf Palace. The latter attraction is filled with many tranquil and beautiful gardens and a giant fountain. This summer palace has become an important tourism attraction for Russian people.
Starting from Russia, I took a train to Finland, then a ferry to cross the Baltic Sea to visit Estonia. I also took a bus to Latvia and to Lithuania and ended my trip in Poland.
